The Prologue

Welcome to The Bookish Bar Cart, where we drink, read, and pretend we have a plan. In this inaugural episode, we unravel how this podcast got started (spoiler: impulse and delusion), talk about our reading origins, field live questions we weren’t prepared for, and introduce our first book club pick: One Dark Window. Future episodes may be more structured, but we wouldn’t count on it.

Chapter 3: The Harvard of Witch Schools

Join Bailey and Kim as they wander the halls of Weatherstone College and unpack the drama brewing inside its magical dorms. Bailey is seeing the bright side of academy life, while Kim already has very strong opinions... and a growing list of red flags.

Chapter 4: Hades Champion

Bailey and Kim dive headfirst into The Games Gods Play by Abigail Owen… and promptly lose the plot (but, like, in a fun way). Expect passionate overanalysis, chaotic tangents, and at least three moments where we’re convinced we’ve cracked the entire book wide open—only to realize we somehow skipped over some very important details.
It’s part literary deep dive, part unhinged book club, and 100% proof that even when we miss the point, we’ll absolutely commit to it.

Chapter 5: A Court of Chaos and Cocktails

Kim and Bailey swap their planned Spellcaster episode for a more chaotic, cocktail-fueled catch-up on all things Sarah J. Maas - especially the latest buzz from her Call Her Daddy appearance. Think pre-show energy, unfiltered theories, and plenty of speculation as they try to piece together what ACOTAR books 6 and 7 could have in store.
Quick heads up: Bailey’s mic cuts out around the 1:08 mark. We did our best to smooth it over so you can still hear her, but it’s not perfect - we’re still learning. Thanks for sticking with us while we get it together!

Chapter 6: Hades Needs a Hug

Bailey and Kim are back and have lots of thoughts on The Things Gods Break. 
Hades gets a lot of love, Zeus gets called a spaghetti head, and Kronos gets more sympathy than we planned on giving him. Somewhere along the way, we also realize we’d love to know more about other mythologies while repeatedly proving we can’t remember the names of things in the mythology we’re already discussing. Are any of us surprised? 😂
